野田哲也　Tetsuya NODA
1940年熊本県生まれ。野田哲也のライフワークである「日記」シリーズは、1968年の第６回東京国際版画ビエンナーレ展で国際大賞を受賞するなど、その始まりから高い評価を受けています。

作家自身が撮影した写真を使い、主にシルクスクリーンと木版の併用技法により作家の日常を淡々と綴っているこの大連作は、見るものにあらためて生きることとはどういうことかを考えさせます。題名は全て「日記」の日付になっていて、作家自身の家族や知人の肖像、旅や日常的な光景などが記録されています。
