ボブ・ウィロビー　Bob WILLOUGHBY
1927年アメリカ・ロサンゼルスで生まれる。12歳のときに父からもらったカメラで写真を撮り始める。高校卒業後、ハリウッドのカメラマンたちの助手として修業し、かたわらジャズを対象に写真修業をした。南カリフォルニア大学の夜間部で写真を学び、専門学校でデザインを学習。やがて演劇や文化イベントを手がけるようになり、雑誌のために映画関連の撮影が増えた。

オードリー・ヘプバーン出演作のほか、「地上より永遠に」「スタア誕生」「ヴァージニア・ウルフなんかこわくない」「卒業」など30年あまりの間に120本ほどの映画でスチル写真を撮り、『ライフ』『ヴォーグ』など世界的な雑誌に提供している。写真集として、『プラチナの時代』（1974）、『ロサンゼルスのジャズ』（1990）、『ハリウッド・スペシャル』（1993）などがある。彼の写真は、数多くの国の美術館に展示されている。2009年12月フランス・ヴァンスに永逝（享年82）。
